career |
- Trained in 3D design, Sheffield College of Art in the 1950s.
- Worked in product design/graphic design for 11 years, before teaching art and design in secondary education for over 30 years.
- Chairman and founder member of the Coventry Arts Consortium until 2005. Worked hard on behalf of local artists to have their works exhibited in the city's main art gallery, in 2000. Previously they had been barred as a body.
- Retired from teaching in 1993, to paint full-time. Have exhibited widely throughout Coventry and Warwickshire. My last exhibition was featured on local radio BBC CWR.
- Won the Gallery Prize for "Figures at an Exhibition", at the 10th Open Exhibition (2006), at Thoresby Gallery, Nottinghamshire.
- I now run three classes for adults, in nearby Kenilworth, "Painting for Leisure".
