Jean Dayton - artist

Primarily a self taught fine artist with a background in College Art & Design; I am a professional artist and jewellery designer. My artwork can be found in many UK & International private collections. Some of my work has been published; my most recent being my contemporary painting 'Sunburst' which featured in House & Home Ideas magazine. I have exhibited my work in various exhibitions held in the UK. I work in oils and watercolours and new for 2006 have been producing ACEO's (Artist Trading cards, a very affordable way of collecting fine art). Simply put, I love art; I have a passion for being creative so I have chosen fine art & jewellery design as my career to explore my creativity. I am inspired by nature and people. Animals are adorable and to me there is something truly special about them, perhaps in this wild world we live in, animals hold a certain reminder of who we truly are and what really matters in life. I am constantly amazed at nature and its vivid colours & beauty and try to transpose that into my paintings.
