|
Juraj is a Visual Artist Photographer born on 30th December 1963 in Slovakia, a part of Czechoslovakia. In 1992 he became an Australian Citizen where he has lived for over ten years. He began his art in Australia. Whilst travelling throughout Australia and the countries of the South Pacific, he studied the traditional and primitive cultures of the people of that region. Juraj has travelled extensively, exploring over fifty countries in Europe, Asia, Australasia and Oceania, America and North Africa. He has been privileged to meet some of the world's remotest tribes in Malaysia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands. His interactions with people of the countries he has visited and his observation of the landscapes, have certainly influenced his work. Juraj manages to capture the colour and variety of these differing cultures in his own way in a very individual style. Juraj exhibits in Australia, in a few cities in Slovakia and also a little in (UK) London, during his short residence in the UK. In his Advanced Symbolic Art Language, he is trying, by subtle means, to send his messages about the human past, present and future. The Art Form which he is using relates to Religion, History, Fairytale Stories, Festivals and Spiritual Celebrations, Anthropology - Cultural Studies, Black Demon, Witchcraft and Magic, and also Philosophy. All of these go very often beyond the subject in connection with the outside world. In 2004, Juraj will be opening his own Home Art Gallery in Nove'Zamky in Slovakia where over 1000 artworks will be displayed. |
