| Janet Weight Reed When Janet Weight Reed was asked recently what her aspirations were - she responded, "I am living them!" Born and raised in the United -Kingdom, Janet studied at The Kent Institute of Art and Design. Her art is shown around the world, and is in many permanent corporate and private collections. Janet has worked for many years on both sides of the Atlantic as well as many other countries. She is noted for her portraits, large corporate murals and most importantly her animal and wildlife work. The 'Focusing On The Future' project is a culmination of thirty years of work. Within it Janet is able to utilise all the different aspects of her career and life - painting - teaching - writing and much more. The three main components of the project are children - education - environment, all elements that she feels passionate about. Janet lives in Crickhowell (Crickadoon) in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, UK. She has an intense love for this place, and everything that it represents. A strong and vital community, Crickadoon becomes the focus for the stories and adventures of Cristeve - her beloved cat. |
