Career
Rex is a member of the 'Royal Miniature Society' which involves a very fine detail and finish, reflected by his earlier formal experience as an illustrator and graphic designer.

He became a professional watercolour painter in 1981 and regularly exhibited with the Royal Institute of Watercolours, and was a competition finalist chosen from 3,000 entrants in the BBC 'Summertime' exhibition held at the Tate Gallery. His work was reproduced by 'Rosenstiels Fine Art ' publishers, and 'Royle' Greetings cards. He later appeared on the BBC2 television program, 'Painters' and then won first prize in the 'Inveresk' International Art competition.

He used to organise the prestigious 'Wessex Artists' exhibitions in his home town of Romsey where he lives with his wife Geraldine - a professional potter. Their ancient cottage is both a home and working Studio with Gallery to which visitors are always welcome.

Teaching, demonstrating to Societies and writing articles are also part of his busy life
