We feel that the Limousin is the perfect base from which to run courses that focus on the environment. Not only are we surrounded by beautiful countryside but also by many communities who, to some degree, really do 'live off the land'. Small-scale farming is predominant in our area and peoples' lives are dictated by true seasons.

By celebrating our environment in some way, we aim to inspire and encourage learning in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Although each course has a daily structure, we like to tailor the programme to the interests of our participants - if you have a specific interest or burning question related to the course title, we will be more than happy to adapt the course content to suit your needs.

All course participants stay at beautiful Vacances Vertes les Belles and course prices include:

  • All accommodation. Course fees are based on 2 people sharing (in either twin or double rooms)
  • All tutoring
  • All tools
  • Evening meals at Vacances Vertes les Belles (one evening meal will be taken at a local restaurant). Four-course meals of traditional Limousin / French dishes. Wine and aperitifs included
  • Picnic / buffet lunches (e.g. delicious organic salads, bread, locally-made pate, quiches...)
  • Hearty breakfasts to set you up for the day (e.g. home-made jam, croissants, pains aux chocolates, cereals, fruit...)
  • All food will be (where possible) locally bought, sourced or grown at one of the carefully selected work sites.

Course tutor:- With over 30 years art and teaching experience, Barbara Doms is our perfect choice to lead this course.

If you have always had an appreciation for the environment and nature around you, but were not sure about how to put those feelings down on paper, then this is the time to experience Barbara's gentle coaching. Whilst we do offer a structured teaching programme for the week, Barbara is very keen to find your creative side and is happy to accept all ideas, so that you make the most from your painting experience at Vacances Vertes les Belles.

We aim to do as much 'outdoor work' as possible but should there be a rainy day, we have a bright and airy room within the house at your disposal, to use as a studio.

Please have a look at our suggested programme - if any potential guests would like to adapt the course to their needs, do not hesitate to get in touch.
