Directions:
From Cherbourg take the Rennes Rd. E3 A84 via St. Lo, Avran- ches. Then take the N137 from Rennes towards Nantes towards Bain de Bretagne, approx. 35 km. Follow the signs for Bain de Bretagne centre to the small roundabout from which you turn right at the Lalleu/Thourie sign onto the D 53. Travel approx. l0km along this road until you come to the sign La Bosse de Bretagne/Erce en Lamee (on the right) just before a crossroads. Turn left at this junction and the house is about 500m on the r.h.side. From Roscoff take the N137 from Rennes and continue as above.

The Art Holiday Courses are week-long residential (B. & B. and Evening Meal) (6 nights). These holidays are suitable for the more experienced Artist. Emphasis is on drawing and painting in a variety of mediums and the Artist should take home several good works of art.

The programmes start at 9.30am - 12.30 and from 2pm - 5pm. Only 5 Artists accepted on each Course. Brochure detailing prices and accommodation etc., is available via e-mail and by telephone/fax. Gift vouchers also available. etc., are available via e-mail and by telephone.

  • Artists are provided with materials and equipment: there is no need (unless the Artist prefers) to bring additional materials or equipment.  
  • Fees include 6 nights B.& B. & Evening meal (4 courses). 
  • Travel expenses nor insurance are included in the fees. 
  • Deposits are non-refundable.  
  • Day Courses are available by prior request only.  
  • Artists are requested to bring/hire a car, as public transport is (as elsewhere in rural France) very limited.  We are 10km from the thriving town of Bain de Bretagne and 7km from the local village of Erce en Lamee.

Artist's Career
The Art Courses are run by Mrs. Anne D'Alton, ATC., MAAI. Anne is a well known Irish Artist and former Head of the Dublin School of Art. Anne now resides in Brittany with her husband Adrian, and has been running these successful Art Holidays in their delightful l7thC "Longere", set in 3 acres of charming Breton countryside, for several years. Anne regularly exhibits in France, with her line and wash illustrations of buildings being much in demand.
