Art Tuition by Mary-Anne Bartlett

Mary-Anne Bartlett is an accomplished travel and wildlife artist, particularly experienced in painting and drawing in Africa. She welcomes artists of all standards on her trips- and non-painting partners who just want to enjoy the peace of it all!

On Art Safari she will teach and encourage you to draw and paint in an environment which will enrich your appreciation of the natural world.  You will paint from nature and Mary-Anne will give you the vision and artistic skills to be able to make fast impressions of moving animals.

She will provide you with a varied programme during the length of the course which will stimulate you, give you the opportunity to discuss your work with fellow artists and to inspire you to continue painting nature in your own time.

Mary-Anne, who trained in Exeter and in Strasbourg, is the direct descendent of an early explorer, Sir John Kirk, who accompanied Dr David Livingstone on the Zambezi Expedition.  In 2006 Bradt Guides published her guide book to Malawi. She has been leading Art Safari groups since 2003.
