Indoor meetings are held in The Friends' Meeting House, Cowl Street, Evesham, Worcestershire, England, at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month. A warm welcome is extended to artists, sketchers and doodlers of all levels, and to those who are just interested in art, whether painters or not. Why not just turn up for an introductory visit, or telephone the Secretary. (Details below). |
Activities |
Evesham Art Society currently has 69 members, including both experienced painters and beginners. Most are somewhere between, and a few don't paint al all - they just have an interest in art and enjoy the Society's activities. As well as regular meetings for talks, practical painting sessions, presentations and demonstrations by experts, members can join in outdoor painting groups, visits to galleries, exhibitions and other art events. There are pleasant social occasions providing a friendly environment for 'art-talk' and the helpful discussion of techniques and painting problems, and often including a fun competition where technical skill is not a requirement! Advice and encouragement is offered in regular appraisals of work, and opportunities are provided for the display (and possible sale) of members' paintings in public exhibitions. |
